Set the combination lock on the driver door of 1999 Ford Explorer

I have a used Explorer and do not know the combo to unlock the car on the driver's side door panel. Also does anyone know if the automatic door locks can be disconnected? They drive me crazy!!

DEACTIVATE AUTOLOCK
You must complete steps 1-5 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated you must wait 30 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition key from OFF to RUN/ACC.
2. Press the power door UNLOCK control 3 times.
3. Turn the ignition key from RUN/ACC to OFF.
4. Press the power door UNLOCK control 3 times.
5. Turn the ignition key from OFF to RUN/ACC. A horn chirp indicates the enable/disable feature is entered.
6. Press the power door UNLOCK control one time
7. Press the power door LOCK control to toggle the autolock/Relock state. You will recieve a horn chirp followed by either a long honk, autolock/relock is enabled, or no honk, autolock/relock is disabled.
8. Turn ignition to OFF.
If autolock/relock has been changed, the horn will chirp to confirm procedure is complete.

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer. The door lock on the driver side will not unlock the doors as it use too. I can unlock the doors from passenger side some times, but not all the time. I just had a new door...

First I suggest check and re-check wires and harnesses connections at/from door lock switches at/from drivers side, some loss or harnesses connections sometimes make this wrong.

If, before this replacement your locks system was working fine, a bad installation could damage this and other components. This could be the answer at intermitent keyless work, or your secuirty entry module is advice go to bad. There isn't way to test this, try re-sunchronized the keys according with your Owners Manual procedure o just will reprogramming with the dealer tools.

Hope this helps.

    Lock door

If you don't know the combination to the door pad, you will need to go to the Authorized Ford Dealership and have them run a a vin check and they can provide you with the combination. It will require a 5 digit alpha/numeric depending on the year. They will probably have to charge you for the service and will show you how to lock and unlock on door or all four. Hope this helps.
