2008 Hyundai heater issue

I have a 2008 hyundai accent with a heating problem. I have had the car in twice about it, the first time was part of a service interval and they flushed out the cooling system. It didn't work, they then told me it was likely the thermostat, so after three weeks a new one came in and I had it replaced, still the same. If the engine rpm is high, I get "warm" air, not hot, never hot air actually, but as soon as I shift gears or idle, it blows cool air. It is definitely connected to the engine speed , is this a heater core problem?

SOURCE: 04 civic heater blows cold air at idle

you should have hot water on all rad. hoses when the motor is running at a norm. temp. the water is not going through the heater core like it should. you have cutoff valve bad low water are a stopped heater.try a hoter thermostat if none of the above are true.

SOURCE: The heater on my 2001 Hyundai Accent is not working...

it could be the heater core, but before you check that check the thermostate that could be the problem for the over heating

You hot air comes from the water circulated through the heater core. It is like a miniture radiator with water flowing thru it constantly. So by opening the "Blend Door" you are permitting so much of this hot air to pass thru.

Seems like for some reason your heater core is plugged up. Just like a radiator can be. So water may be passing through your heater core but not passing through fully. Your heater core gets hot from water passing throught it from the engine. Then your doors open up, in proportion to how much air is permitted to pass over the heater core.

Suggest to remove the heater core and replace it. Seems the blend doors are working properly but again, if you have a non working heater core then no air can pass over the "Hot Core" for you to recieve hot air.

If you are not mechanically inclined, then go to a local parts store and you can buy a car manual, such as Chilton's or Hane's Car manuals, for your year and make to show you how to replace it. Then you can also have it for any other problems that may arise.

My ac heater and defrost will not work at all in my 2005 Hyundai Tucson new blower motor and resister what else

Hi,

Please check the heater motor and also the thermostat. If those don't work, then this can also lead to your ac/heating system to malfunction as well.

Please use autozone to get a free diagnostic run on your car to get a list of errors. Then, they can tell you which errors are relevant to your ac/heating issue.

Thank you.

My daughter has owned a 2005 Hyundai Accent since it was new. The car has NO heat. The blower works but it produces no heat and never has. There is fluid in the radiator.

couple possibilities - is the engine temp gauge in the normal range? if not, could be a thermostat issue. otherwise, have seen heater cores plug up on these. a heater core flush followed by a full cooling system flush will fix this.
