You need to take off the timing belt (or chain) cover and see why the one camshaft is not turning. Maybe the belt for that cam broke or the cam has seized from a bad cam bearing. One camshaft should be for the intake valves, the other cam is for the exhaust valves.

While you have it at the radiator repair shop, have them flow test the radiator. They should have information on the flow of a new radiator and then you can compare the two. They should be able to tell you if your flow rate is  high enough to do the job.

Fairly common problem so i would say it is definitely your head gasket. Sorry.

SOURCE: I need the timing marks

please forgive me but as iam getting older my memory isnt what it was but i seem to remember two slots in the back of the cam but it could be a mark on the rear cam cap,if not sure here then do it with no timing marks -- its easy make sure no1 piston is down halfway so valves clear pistons then look at the cams and start with the inlet no1 which should be just closed and the cam lobe moving away from the tappet ,and now the exhaust will be coming around to make contact with the tappet ,then look on the cam /cam caps keyway or whatever for anything resembling the timing marks .Sorry i just do so many makes of vehicle i cannot remember them all i just use my 6 yrs or motor vehicle technicians course ,although its all out of date now the basics are still the same and i apply this basic to any vehicle and it always works .right last question this one iam off to cultivate the garden and relay my irrigation pipes

Testimonial: "that is very helpful info I just want to thank you for your help I wasn't sure of the marks because it has intake and exhaust marks "

Our fx35 over heated and refuse to start

Hi.

If the car overheated you may have blown the head gasket and other in the block. In that case the engine may not start anymore because of lack of compression, because piston rings are gone, valves may have been damaged etc. Another part that in many vehicles may blow with engine surge from overheating is the fuel pump. There are more parts that must be tested. If overheating drained the coolant fluid reservoir, then the head gasket usually must be replaced. Try replacing the spark plugs. If there have been overheating and engine surging the spark plugs must be replaced. If that does not do the job, then there is a major fault to troubleshoot.

Regards.

What size motor does a 1993 mazda mx3 have?

The MX-3 came with three engine options: a 1.5 L I4 (only found in the Autozam AZ-3), a 1.6 L I4 and a 1.8 L V6. The 1.6 L was available in two versions, an 88 hp (66 kW) SOHC/16-valve B6-ME unit which powered 1992 and 1993 models, or a 106 hp (79 kW) DOHC/16-valve B6-D unit which was found in 1994 and later models. The Japanese market DOHC/16-valve B5-ZE produced 115-120 PS (85-88 kW) (lower powered in automatic versions) and the most powerful DOHC 24-valve V6 K8-DE produced 140 PS (103 kW) at 7,000 rpm (Japan) and 130 hp in North American models. All were available with a 5-speed manual or an optional 4-speed automatic transmission, depending upon the market.
