Turn signal relay keeps clicking on and off

My 98 Blazer started doing the exact same thing a couple of days ago. The exact same clicking sound that is made when the turn signals are on continues intermittently even when not signaling a turn. Sometimes, it seems to stop (or slow down) when pressing the brakes. Also sometimes when pressing the brakes, the clicking turns into more of a fast chatter than the regular turn signal type clicks. Any ideas? Thanks.

that vehicle has a desperate relay for the hazards which is why they work, you have a defective signal flasher sometimes called a signal relay, follow the noise to locate exactly where the part is, usually under driver side of dash, it is a very cheap part and easy to install.

Turn signals aren't working but flashers are

that is because they run off different systems, they both have thier own relays, normally the common fault with flashers not working is either, fuse, or relay (flasher repeter unit), if you turn your turn signals left or right can you hear a click click click noise? if not its your flasher unit, hope this helps

Turn signal keeps clicking until I step on the brakes

The turn signal/wiper control arm may have gone bad. Auto Zone has them cheaper then the Dealer or you can go to the Salvage yard and pick one up for around $35.00 to $50.00, just call around to see which is the best price. Some will even be as low as $10.00 if you remove it your self from a truck and there is also a 90 day warranty.
The neat thing is that you can take one apart from a Salvage yard and find out what not to break from your truck when working on it. If you feel that it is the signal relay, your going to have to drop the panel under the drivers side to get to the relay on the driver side behind the cigarette lighter.
Good luck and hope this helps.
