Day time running light is brighter then the other

These Toyotas had daytime running lights. The headlights and the taillights turn on when you start the car. If you press the brake pedal, the rear lights (and the brake light in the rear window) should come on brighter.

I have never heard of the brake light staying on (The brighter filament in the two-filament bulb). Hope this helps.

no all brake lights should work at all times daytime running lights have nothing to do with brake lights

No problem with timing belt.

electrical problem.....please check fuse panel and wiring close to the timing belt covers and your worked area.sometimes you stucked the entire wire harness to body when you are tigten the screw.

There is the issue with the wattage of bulb you have got for the vehcicle.

And also due to a new bulb it shines brighter then the old one.

get the old one also repaced to get the equal brightness

Does the battery light come on at times with this problem(s) your having? I have the same issue except that my battery light comes on at times while its doing this...ITS SO EMBARRASING WHEN THE HEADLIGHTS GO BRIGHTER...

Try to adjust dash lights brighter. FOr some reason the radio blacks out even when the lights are dimmed a bit. Try turning the dash lights a bit brighter and see if you can see the radio. HAve a great day.

Have you verified both high beams are in working order? DRL's are very funny about not working if one of the lights is burned out. Rememeber that DRL's are only high beams using 20% of the power so just because your normal lights work, it does not mean the high beams are working correctly.
