Try spraying WD 40 into the ignition as possible. Let sit a second.. Then try working the key. It should come out. Then work the key in and out and turn on and off; a few minutes. This is to loosen the ignition up. I had the same problem, once with my car key. The key came right out.

try wd40 and shaking the key, what happens is one of the tumblers get stuck and wont let the key turn if that dosnt work let me know worst case you will have to replace the ignition its about $35 to $40 and a few hours.

I have the same problem. I put some graphite down the key hole and pushed it around in there and it loosened it up a bit to the point I could turn the ignition. If you have a replacement key, start using that. It should help as well.Teeth on old key may be wearing down. Lastly, I keep a screwdriver in the car to whack against key when it's in the ignition if it's stuck. A few taps on the key will always unlock the ignition.
Or, go but a new ignition and key set....

I experienced this just last year and all I did was CAREFULLY push the shifter a bit harder into park and viola key went to off and came out. I later took apart the center console and had found that an electrical wire had gotten between the mechanism that gives permission to the ignition to turn to the off position and let go of the key.
