2003 Nissan Sentra/standard transmission, ran fine until recently. Began jerking around randomly and would lose power out of nowhere. Stops doing this after restarting a few times. AutoZone said it needed a new camshft sensor, so had a friend install it. Problem solved? Not so much!!

Try unplugging the mass air flow sensor. it's between the air filter and the engine throttle chamber. it has an electrical connector. if it idles fine, you need a new MAF sensor.

By the sounds of it that could be the solenoid that operates the overdrive that has malfunctioned or there's a bad earth or a broken fuse - its electrical though that's for sure -- you may need to see a mechanic for that one unless your good at diy :)

you might have your mechanic check the cylanoid my mechanic thought it was the altenator and then the starter and the whole time it was the clanoid and it wound up tearin up my starter
The actuator that controls the heat and air has probably gone bad or the control that tells the actuator what air temperature you want has gone or is going out.
Note - not a solution..just adding my woes! I drive a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. My car suddenly stalled 1 day and the engine wouldn\'t turn over. Brought it to my mechanic and had the Camshaft position sensor replaced by my mechanic. The car ran fine for about 2 weeks and then the light was back on with the initial symptoms.
Took the car into the dealership and they diagnosed it again as P0335. Said that the mechanic hadn\'t installed the sensor correctly. Charged me a bunch of money to replace the thing and not too long ago the check engine light is on. The Revs bounce around everywhere. Checked the code again and it\'s P0335 yet again! Am in talks with the dealership to get to the bottom of this...
if this is an automatic there will be a dip stick if it is a manual you do not use transmission fluid to find out what sencor is bad take car to advance auto parts they have a digatal reader and can tell wou what sencer went bad and where it is located
