Check engine light on? if so, I would check plugs and coils. Next I would go after the harmonic balancer. Along with checking mounts.

Could be a lot of things but maybe an "easy" fix is a bad motor mount(s). This could cause the vibration.

SOURCE: while in drive and coming

Yes, you can increase the idle to about 1000 rpm, but I would recommend a tune up as it sounds like you may need one.

Rough idle can be caused by many different things - you need to always start with a basic tune up; spark plugs, fuel filter and air filter, as the vehicle will not perform well if any of these three are bad. Then check all vacuum lines for cracks or breaks and replace as needed. You can also add a fuel injector cleaner into the gas tank. I recommend the black bottle of STP concentrated fuel injector cleaner, and you can purchase that at most Wal-Mart's. Hope this helps. Have a nice Monday :O)

My 2003 ford explorer v8 have a vibration above 55mph for over a year now, and it worsens. Over the time I replaced both front wheel bearings, both rear wheel bearings, rear drive shaft U-joints, front...

have to decide if the vibration is engine or transmission sourced
Is the vibration there in neutral at the rpm of 55 mph or better Taking that at 55mph you would be in over drive and the rpm would be around the 2600 mark
hold the rpm steady and see if the vibration is apparent
raise the rpm to see if it comes in
if it does , it is an engine problem and probably a balance shaft timing out
If not then it is a transmission problem and as it would be in over drive and the indications would be a failing bearing in the rear of the transmission of transfer case

02 chevy trailblazer Vibration

oh,, we'll need some more information to be able to help, The thing is you didnt specify what vibrates for example when you start and you have vibrations while idiling, while in drive and the engine kicks back rough when changing gears more than likely its and engine mount thats bad. if its vibrating while idling its the fuel rpm ration (idling screw that needs adjusted or the MAP or air sensor if its fuel injected).. If its vibrating while the ac is turned on, check the ac step-up solenoid (the switch that increases the idling speed to match the ac's needed power.) we'll love to help or point you in the right direction but we'll need some more information. Describe whats happening for us , because we cant be there in person to actually experience it our selves. If you have a vid of the engine while vibrating etc all of that will be beneficial.

VIBRATION IN F250 AT 1500 RPM WITH NO DRIVE SHAFT IN

Your flexplate and/or torque convertor are out of balance.
If recently replaced it should be a warranty issue.
By your testing you have determined it's transmission related.
I have seen new/rebuilt torque convertors be balanced incorrectly.

2000 Dodge Dakota vibration while driving

sound like the u-joints in the driveshaft. Lay under the truck and where the u-joints are try moving the driveshaft up and down. If it moves then the u-joints are bed. This will cause a tremendous vibration under a load and the faster it spins it will smooth out.

Steering vibration

What are the condition of your tires? If their worn they can vibrate, also maybe have them high speed balanced. Most any shop can do that relatively cheaply. Also make sure your tires are speed rated for the speeds your driving.
Also keep in mind, especially with a 4 cylinder engine, the higher the RPM's, the more vibration your going to feel.
