Truck turns over alot then starts and runs fine

get the codes first

Have your power supply to the engine control module (computer) checked.

okay i have the same problem sometimes it will start ok sometime it will not so had to put a rag in the air filter with gas on the rug to starts it but it does alot of hesitating when you're driving it. it just started doing hesitating now its doing this idoling up and down and when you crack it over alot the check engine light come on when it running but eventually it tunes off i was thinking about changing the fuel filters again to see if thats the problem because i think it started when i change the fuel filter i need a little help

Did you ever find a solution to the P0304 warning. I am at 40,000 miles on my 07 RL and got the same warning along with an AWD warning. Just got it serviced last week, what a coincidence.

take ur car for scanning, get a proper diagnosis.

without the check engine light being on its going to be hard to trouble shoot . im assuming it has plenty of gas . i can take one shot at it most cars will run and run poorly with the mass air flow pig tail disconnected . un hook it and see if it will at least run .if its running plug it up again if the car dies or even runs worse that your problem. could be alot of things . when the engine dies you loose power stearing and powerbrakes . so probley not the problem there . could also be throttle position sensor or idle air ajustment valve . but before you mess with that stuff realy need a code, timing belt could of whent etc etc.

Possibly the fuel pump, pump relay, or the injectors and wiring to those.

Check again for the codes, more than one fault code perhaps.

when it cranks and does not run does it have spark?
