Did you check the trunk relese fuse 15amp location rear fuse box . How did you check fuse's an relay's ? Did you use a DMM - digital multi-meter ? Did you check the elcetrical circuit ? Do you know how a relay work's ? The BCM - body control module controls the trunk release relay . Check for B+ voltage at the relay .

SOURCE: blower motor does not work

I had the same problem, replace, replace, replace. Check, check and recheck. What I found was the blower motor resistor, located in the blower squirrel cage area, two prongs and a curly wire, was bad. Took the new one back, (it ohmed out okay, continuity ok, all ok!) replaced it with another, and Bingo, problem solved. Frustrating to say the least. After two relays and a blower switch, and test, test and retest. It was a faulty resistor. Made in Mexico. And no guarentee, even though new, it works. Trial and error. Even the dealer parts are Honcho en Mexico. Thanks NAFTA. You gonna make us all welfare babies.

SOURCE: acura rsx trunk latch stuck & won't open

I"m having trouble with locking and unlocking my hatch using my remote. I have flipped the white switch in the trunk and it acts as a child safety lock if flipped one direction. However I am not able to open the trunk this way. It acts as a permanent lock. So I figure the switch must be flipped the other direction and need to replace my actuator. Is this hard to do. It looks to me like it two switches holding a bracket to hold the actuator itself after plugging in the actuator from both sides. Is it really this simple?? Is there more to it???

SOURCE: trunk won't open with either remote but will open with trunk button on drivers door

I would check the owners manual or with Cadillac - its possible the remotes lost part of the signal and need to be reset. It sounds like the receiver is not getting a signal from them by using that button.
Could be the receiver too.

2008 Cadillac CTS push button to open trunk sometimes works

Do you know anything about automotive electronic's ? The trunk release is controlled by electronic control modules . Having the vehicle check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's should be the first step in the diagnostic procedure . Then reading how it work's !
Factory service repair info.
Rear Compartment Lid Release System Components
• Body control module (BCM)
• Remote control door lock receiver
• Interior rear compartment lid release switch
• Exterior rear compartment lid release switch
• Rear compartment lid release actuator
• Trunk release relay

Rear Compartment Lid Release Operation
The interior rear compartment lid release switch receives a signal from the driver door switch assembly (DDSA). When the interior rear compartment lid release switch is activated, the signal circuit is pulled to ground. The DDSA interprets this and sends a GMLAN serial data message to the body control module (BCM) requesting the rear compartment lid be released. The BCM responds by applying battery voltage to the trunk release relay control circuit which energizes the TRUNK RELES relay. The trunk release relay is supplied with battery voltage at all times. With the relay coil energized, the relay switch contacts close allowing battery voltage to flow to the rear compartment lid release actuator causing the rear compartment lid to release. The rear compartment lid release actuator is permanently grounded at G402.

The trunk release relay is located in the rear fuse box located under the back seat.

Trunk Lid Release Switch on 2009 cts not working

Does it make any noise when you attempt to unlock it? if so it could just need you to realign the latch. but if you hear no sound at all then its electrical and I would check the fuse next. If fuse is good put a multimeter on the solenoid then to the ground and try to unlock it to make sure you are getting power to the solenoid. If you are getting power its the solenoid that need replacement. WebRepcurrentVotenoRatingnoWeight

My 2010 Cadillac SRX trunk won't open with the doors unlock from inside the car, from the remote and from the touch pad button under the license plate. Please someone let me know if they know the

sounds like a fuse is bad for that circuit..check and replace if bad..in an emergency to gain acess to the trunk, remove the back seat by taking the base out first then the back of it..remove the noisebarrier(fiberboard or batting) and the trunk is accessible by a smaller person who can trip the lock from inside manually..good luck and reposr please..

CTS 2010, RKE system does not work for the driver door. The key is in my purse, my purse on my shoulder and the driver's door only refuses to open even if I hear the doors unlocking. It's driving...

if you are hearing clicking noise but the door won't open then the door lock actuator is not releasing the lock. not uncommon problem ,but the car is still new. most of the time this type of problem starts after 5or6 years. I hope your car is still under warranty.

I have a 2005 CTS cadallic And I cannot open the trunk with my remote or my button oin the drivers side door panel. What do I need to do?

Open the trunk manually. Pull down the back seat armrest and open the door for trunk access. There is a yellow handle that is above the door, pull the handle and the trunk will open manually.
The remedy for your problem is probably the fuse that runs the solenoid to the trunk opener, it is found under the rear seat passenger side. It has a black cover over it, remove the cover and find the corresponding fuse.

2004 cts cadillac trunk will not open with remote or with button on drivers door.

if you here a clicking sound when you push the remote or the drivers button then the solenoid and fuse are probably o.k. lubricate the trunk lid catch and operate the latch a few times, also check the tension on the trunk itself , it should lift up part of the way by itself, if not 1. lubricate the hinges and move trunk lid up and down. if still bad 2. if it has a tension rod adjust the rod to a stronger setting if it has gas shocks, 3.replace shocks. if no click and fuse is good solenoid may be bad

2004 cts cadillac trunk will not open with remote or button on drivers door.

Check fuse.. Test for power to trunk release solenoid. When door button, or remote trunk release button is pushed. If there is power ( use a 12 volt test light ) most probably faulty release . Hope this helps
