Yes there is have you checkt the high beam ligts. there is one lamp tho the low beam ligts (50w) usaly and there is one lamp tho the high beam ligts usaly (100w)

Did you check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a testlite or something.
I posted part of headlamp wiring. You understand your dimmer switch is involved in the circuits.
The problem could be the headlamp switch. You are right about the fuses.There is one for the LH high/low and one for the RH high/low. Have you tried turning on the lamps manually with the switch?
You headlight lamp have a diffuser mechanism which allows it to flip between the hight beam and low beam feature of the bulb. In fact, you high beam will function even if the low beam is not working.
I would recommend the purchase of the new headlight lamp. It would cost you you any where from $15.00 per unit to get a replacement lamp
