My 1994 Audi 80 2.0 petrol has single point fuel injection unit (Bosch, but not sure what 'jetronic' version) that allows car to start and idle smoothly.
But, during the warm-up phase, there is a chronic flat spot on acceleration.
I can drive around it by giving the throttle plenty of movement - like slowly pumping it until it's fully warmed up, but even then there's occasionally a hesitation when trying to gently accelerate. It seems the pedal has to be pressed gradually to the floor to get revs to build smoothly.
There must be either a thermal or throttle position sensor needing cleaned or replaced..?
