Ran out of gas put gas in it and wont start fuel at rail and have fire
Make sure that there is enough fuel fin the tank... after that check the nozzles...it might hav block bcos of the remnant dat the fuel pump brought ou of the gas tank........
Could have burnt out the fuel pump, check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail at the motor. Then got try this small thing. Get starting fluid and put a little spray and I do mean little and try to crank of starting fluid. If it cranks on it then. I would go back to the fuel pump in the tank. They burn out easily when you run out of gas, also check fuses and relays if motor isn't buzzing
May have a air blockage in fuel line take one of the plugs out and add couple drops of gas try again.

with key on but not cranking have someone listen at fuel tank for a buzzing sound. if no buzz fuel pump or fuel pump relay may be bad
SOURCE: ran out of gas car wont start
first make sure theirs enough gas in the car now, about 5 gallons. next open the gas door, then the cap. next put your ear to the open fule filler neck. then have someone put the key in the "on" position so teh dash lights up and all, but dont start. this should trigger the pump to start, if you can hear a buzz then the pumps on and working, if not the pump is dead.if this is the case just be sure by checking the fuses to confirm. only way to get to the pump is drop the tank. also dropping the rear exhaust helps too.

The fuel lubricates the fuel pump, so if you ran completly out you may have burned out the fuel pump. First you can do a fuel pressure test, it should be 41-47 psi, if low replace filter and check again. If still low verify pump is getting power then replace. Thanks
