you will need to check to make sure no coins fell into the track and is jammed it if not you will need to replace the bottom frame of the seat possible with a junk yard one much cheaper than buying new and junkyard frames come complete.

SOURCE: Volvo V70 rear seatbelt jammed

Remove the rear seat side squab by gently pulling away at the top then lifting up ( it is fixed by a push clip at the top and a hook at the bottom).
Undo the nut which anchors the seat belt and left the belt to one side of the seat, lift up the the rear seat and tehn simply reposition the seat belt. Refix and tighten the seat belt anchoring nut at the bottom then replace the squab by hooking and pushing in to fit. You will need a slightly larger plastic clip to retain the seat belt in future. A small nut and bolt may do!!!

Xc90 driver seatbelt stuck in pillar

Some cars have a belt release button in the door frame . When you open the door the button releases the seat belt. Check to see if your vehicle has one. Make sure it is not stuck or broken. Hope this helps.

Volvo XC90 rear middle seat stuck in the down position

It is pretty obvious from the video that the internal mechanism on the release has broken. This will need internal repairs or replacement of the whole seat by Volvo or a mechanic. Sorry :(

Seat Position Cant be moved

The manual lever to release the seat is supposed to have a spring on it to return the release lever to the lock position, if the lever does not spring back when you let go of the seat adjustment lever then you know there is a missing, dis-connected, or broken return spring.

If this is the case try putting the seat where you want it to be and make sure that the adjustment lever returns to the lock position, now check to see if the seat will lock in with the adjustment lever in the lock position.

If it does lock in repair or replace the return spring.

Make sure that the adjustment lever is attached to the locking linkage and it does move the locking mechanism.

If it still does not lock into place then there is something wrong with the seat locking mechanism, and some WD-40 sprayed onto the seat rails and track might release a stuck mechanism, and if everything seems to be working alright, and you can see that the locking mechanism in the seat rail is moving in and out of the lock position, then the locking tabs are most likely sheered off and you will need to replace the seat.

Also look under the drivers side seat and compare the lever position and the linkage connections with the passenger side seat, and make sure that it is all operating like the drivers side seat.

My Volvo C70 - 2002- has power seats, the drivers seat is all the way forward, and will not return or move in any way.

There is a plastic piece that holds the return spring for the switch on the seat back release. When this piece breaks, the switch can't indicate that the release is back in the lock position. You will have to take part of the seat apart to replace this piece. There could be something else causing this problem, but this is the most common.

My rear seat belts have locked with the seat in the down position

I had the same problem. I unscrewed the seat belt from the floor board. That eased the tention and the belts released.
