Your seat belts are tied in to your air bag system. Even though your air bags may not have deployed, your seat belt(s) have deployed a one-time use trigger designed to cinch you tightly into your seat in the collision you were in. There is no way to reset them, they will need to be replaced. A used, functioning seatbelt will work, but usually must be of the same year as your car, even if other years appear identical. The wrong year will appear to the on board computer as an error, and will not allow the system to be restored to functional (air bag light will not go off), even though now your seat belt will appear to function. If your air bag light stays on after the bulb-check sequence at startup, it means the system is disabled...the air bag will not function in a crash.

I have 2012 ford mondeo hatch and the middle rear seatbelt is locked. We can not pull it out. Can this be fixed at home? Or does the whole seat need to be replaced or repaired at ford?

You do not fix seat belts you replace them, the chance of the seat belt retractor not functioning correctly and failing to lock the belt in a collision is just not worth saving a few bucks, wouldn't you agree?

How do I fix a locked seat belt after and accident

You should not try really. A seatbelt should be replaced after an accident like that.

Airbag light on dash--able to flash codes 53, 43, 32... What to these refer to?

53 second row left seatbelt sensor (subfault)
43 third row left frontal stage 3 deployment control (subfault)
32 second row left frontal stage 2 deployment control (subfault)
Yes parts related seatbelt sensor and a collision sensor.
Two questions has this car been in a collision, did the airbags deployed, is the seatbelt not retracting. This is a serious problem if you have a collision there will be no protection

The cheapest option would be to check the salvage yards and try and change the parts yourself, get back if you find them and I will email instructions part by part. Chris

Locked seatbelt in 2001 Ford F150

it is not recommended that seat belts from a collision be reused as they and the linkage have already been stressed and could fail in another collision, best to replace them with new, this i got from a collission expert

Transmission is locked after a minor front end collision.

Have you tried using your ignition key in the slot next to the gear selection handle?

Lift gate wont open

OK, this minor collision may have shifted the actual clip and latch assembly. You may have to totally disassemble the latch assembly to release this lift gate.

Any kind of major or minor shifting of the lift gate lock latch assembly can cause misalignment that will jam this delicate precise locking mechanism.

Ford Focus seatbelt locked

There is a gas cylinder that tightens the belt in a minor collision, it is a one time use part it is independent of the air bag deployment system, you will have to replace the seat belt gas cylinder, that may mean a new belt assembly, not sure on focus.
