Crank and start but wont stay on

If the code for the crank sensor comes back, then there's still a fault in that circuit. Check for sensor resistance and wiring harness short or open. Crank sensor resistance should be 1,630 -2,740 ohms when cold. TPS would not cause those symptoms. IAC could cause rough idle but wouldn't affect higher RPMs. Bad coolant temp sensor could also be part of the problem. Bad sensor = ECM thinks engine is warmer than it is and provides too lean a mixture. But fix the crank sensor issue first since that affects the fuel injectors.

Possible Low Fuel Pressure I Would Test The IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) First

Its a hot start issue.

Can be related to low fuel pressure or problem with crank sensor.

Also it can be weak battery or starter.

But possibilities are to be inspected to confirm what exactly it is.------

this could possibly be an iac or idle air control valve issue. the iac valve controls the amount of air that bypasses the throttle body in order to maintain proper idle, and is mounted on or very near the throttle body on the intake manifold. check the connector to ensure it's tight and the connections are clean, not corroded. i'd recommend replacing the iac valve.

Your speed sensor may cause other problems like not shiftig all gears, if the car acts like it is cutting of, check for proper fuel pressure, air intake firlter, spark plugs, throthle positioner sensor, idle motor.

does it have a throttle body or fuel injection?

try checkin your idle air control. most of the time it is a vacuumn line going into intake.pull it off and if the car revs up dont worry, it wont hurt it. if it does simply put it back on, if it dies you have a bad vacumn.

this is a classic symptom of a defective fuel pump pressure check valve, it is not holding pressure after the car is turned off, this causes the problem you have, the check valve is part of the fuel pump and that is located in the gas tank.

U need to check for spark 1st. Pull a plug (or use a good spare plug) place plug where u can see it, have someone crank the engine, watch for spark at plug tip, do this out of the bright sunlight so u can see the spark easily. If good spark, after several starting attempts, pull a plug and check for fuel on plug. Check these 2 items 1st, let me know what u find.
