2010 Grand Caravan has loud knocking noise. Sounds like its under the dash???? Happens when the van is not even turned on yet. As soon as I press teh unlock button on the key fob it starts. 65,000km o

Knocking noise does eventually stop after a few minutes. Happens in warm and cold temperatures.

Sounds like the same problem I was having with my 2010 Caravan. It is the motor that controls the fresh air/ rec. air flap. You can get to this by the underneath. Remove 2 screws that hold the carpet up by the firewall and the plastic fastener in the front by the glove box. The motor box is mounted on the side of the flap. Held by 2 screws and 2 wires are plugged into it. I just took mine off opened the cover to inspect the plastic gears, the gears looked good so I replaced the cover and re installed. The thumping sound went away. Everyone is saying that you have to take the dash out and dealerships are charging upwards to 800 dollars for the fix. It took me 10 min to get to it and remove. If the part needs replaced I believe it around 25$.

SOURCE: Loud knocking noise from engine

A loud low knock? And it sounds like a disel now, sounds like one of your rod bearings is going bad. Basically, unless you want to put a new motor in it or have the one in it rebuilt, the only thing you can do is drive it till it blows. Sorry to be the one to give you bad news like this, but your motor is old. Parts are worn out. You either have to freshen it up or let it die.

There is a cooking sound in the dash of my 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan SE it starts but what's that noise it's making changes indicate to me

Is it the sounds of bacon and egg cooking in a skillet, wet French fries dropped in hot oil or the sounds of cooking soup boiling. Details matters and sounds are very subjective. Let me know, I am a qualified chef, as well a a car expert.

Loud ticking/knocking/rattling sound when I start/accelerate

hi is it miss-firing as it sounds like a knocking noise can be anything but if you can feel it on the accelerater pedal then the noise sounds like its on the inlet valve side which would transfere the noise up the throttle body where the accelerater is located it could be something as simple as a tappet come loose to a burned valve you need to have a look do a compression test and take the rocker cover off see if theres anything come loose yates210456
