How do you replace the rear speaker on a 2001 Mercedes Benz S430?

I think you could use this manual method instead.. My nephew use it to repair my car and it's totally repaired now. Here's the website he bought it from. reliable-store

pull the stereo unit out check the rear wires and the rear fuse some times there are 2 fuses 1 for unit its self and another for the amp if its still not working try another cheap radio if that works its the stereo if not there is something wrong with speakers probable worth just replacing head unit will work out cheaper

Hi, the aftermarket stereo does not use the illumination wire. You must tape that wire off (purple/gray). That wire is either connected to the wrong place or is touching chassis ground and causing your instrument lights to dim.
Connect the stereo's red wire to the car's black/yellow wire; and connect the stereo's yellow wire to the car's red/white wire.

these models have a amplifier. if this has burned out you would get no sound. this is in the trunk, left side, behind the carpet.

Sounds like the amplifiers in the trunk, passengers side are failing.

Check the underside of your hood for a belt diagram. If it's not there, call your dealer with your VIN number to get the correct diagram.

Check the fuse box and according to the printed diagram, check the fuse for the headlights, hope this will solve the problem

I have a S 350 2003 model. Both my back left and right don't work. The front works perfect even the emergency front works but not the back. It is not the globes . Any suggestions why?
