My Mazda tribute is leaking badly and noisy at the same time. I just replace the power steering pump and after a week leak is gone but there is a leak on the fittings to steering box(where fittings located ). I just tightened the fittings and it works for just a week. It happened 3 times i just noticed everytime temperature goes -25C my fittings leak drain all the steering fluid.Do i need to replace both hoses to prevent leak. Why temperature becomes low have a tendency to leak? Any advise please.

FIRST MECHANICS COULD HAVE TIGHTEN LINE TOO TIGHT AND DAMAGED THE SEAL IN LINE FITTING.TAKE CAR BACK TO FIRST DEALER.LET THEM KNOW POWER STEERING IS STILL LEAKING AND THEY DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM.THEY SHOULD NOT CHARGE YOU ANYTHING JOB SHOULD BE DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.
Testimonial: "This is a very useful information. The second dealer at first said that if it is a warranty issue, they will do it free. Anyway, they charge $127."

Hi,
These sounds like the copper washer underneath the hose needs replacing or you just need to tighten the nut on the hose, check the washer and try to tighten it.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

You can get a hose at the parts store. This is a nonpressure line and you can use hose that is rated for transmission fluid.
