P0442 = Evap. Emission Ctrl. System - Small Leak detected (1.0 mm) Most times this is merely a fuel cap which has not been completely tightened. However, the EVAP (Evaporative Emissions System) is quite complex and there are many possible causes other than a loose fuel cap. If you have an OBDII scanner, erase the code and inspect your fuel cap... make sure you 'click' the cap at least three times when you reinstall it. If the code returns, best solution is take it to a Hyundai Service Center (dealership), pay the diagnostic fee. They will tell you EXACTLY what the problem is and what's needed to fix it (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.).

That is an emissions code. It means you have a small leak in one of the lines. Most likely it the line that goes from the engine to the evap canister in the drivers side rear inner fender well.

PO441 ,PO442 codes have to do wit the oxagen sensors, If there is a problem with both of them,Or your cat is pluged up ,The car will not run (Properly)

Failed Emision test

po442 is evap emission control system leak (small) 1 of the lines for emissions is leaking. po455 is-- emission control system leak (large). turn off light with code scanner after it is fixed.

if the air filter was recently inspected or changed, look for the vacuum hose to be disconnected from the valve located on the air filter cover. another source may be the gas cap either loose or with the tether strap caught under it preventing a proper seal
