To Remove:
Remove or disconnect the following:

  1. License plate
  2. Pin-type retainers and the luggage compartment lid trim panel
  3. License plate lamp electrical connector
  4. Lamp socket from the license plate lamp
  5. Using a suitable tool, through the access hole, release the clips and remove the license plate lamp
To Install:
  1. Install or connect the following:
  2. License plate lamp
  3. Lamp socket to the license plate lamp
  4. Electrical connector
  5. Luggage compartment lid trim panel
  6. License plate

The lights around my license plate are out. I replaced them and they are still not working. I am wondering about the fuse, but am not sure which fuse controls these lights on a 2000 Lincoln Town car
not sure which fuse except to say same fuse as tail lights is one you're looking for. try turning your park lights on and wiggling bulbs back and forth,i suspect a bad ground inside bulb holder. you can wiggle bulb to check that. after you do get it working i suggest you apply some bulb grease to put into bulb socket for no future problems.

2000 Lincoln LS Right rear Stop Light Bulb Replacement. Cant see how to get ot it intrunk behind carpet. No screws to remove lens on the exterior.
Remove carpet hold down plastics in trunk to gain access to bulbs. Hope this helps

thare is little straight open slots on each side of the lens. put a small screwdriver in these slots to release the assembley then turn the socket out of lens ,the bulb pulls out

LINCOLN ls bRAKE lIGHT REPLACEMENT
One of 2 ways.......

#1) mounting screws on the exterior of the brake light lens.

#2) in the trunk behind the carpeting, usually this is the easiest way. either way the bulb is held in by a twist lock bulb holder.

License plate bulb replacement
you have to carefully pry the bulb holder out and remove the bulb by turning it counterclockwise while pushing in. Replace the new lightbulb the reverse mode.
