It's in the high pressure liquid line.

A/C Evaporator Core Orifice The A/C evaporator core orifice (19D990) should be replaced whenever the A/C compressor (19703) is replaced for lack of performance (internal damage). The A/C evaporator core orifice, located in the condenser to evaporator tube (19835), cannot be serviced in detail as a component of the line. If replacement is necessary, follow the procedure outlined for Liquid Line Removal and Installation. An orifice tube replacement service kit may be used as an optional service procedure. Refer to Section 12-00 for information regarding the use of an A/C Evaporator Core Orifice Replacement Kit E5VY-19D695-A.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/C Evaporator Core Orifice Replacement Kit Installation

  1. Discharge A/C refrigerant system. Refer to System Discharging and Recovery as outlined.
  1. Remove condenser to evaporator tube (19835) from vehicle.
  1. Locate A/C evaporator core orifice (19D990) by three indentations or a circular recess in metal portion of the condenser to evaporator tube.

  1. Note angular position of ends of condenser to evaporator tube so that it can be reassembled in correct position.
  1. Cut a 63.5 mm (2.5 inch) section from condenser to evaporator tube at A/C evaporator core orifice location. Do not cut closer than 25.4 mm (1 inch) from start of a bend in tube.

A/C Evaporator Core Orifice Section Removed From the Liquid Line
  1. Remove contaminants from the two pieces of the condenser to evaporator tube.
  1. NOTE: The inlet half of the condenser to evaporator tube will be positioned against the A/C evaporator core orifice tabs when correctly assembled.

Lubricate fitting with clean refrigerant oil and assemble orifice tube kit (with A/C evaporator core orifice installed) to condenser to evaporator tube. Make sure flow direction arrow is pointing toward evaporator end of the condenser to evaporator tube, and taper of each compressor ring is toward compression nut.

SOURCE: Where, exactly, is the orifice tube located on my truck?

the orfice tube is locate in the line between condenser and evaporator. near the spring lock coupling. you must unbolt the cruise servo and overflow bottle, reposition them out of way and you will see the line connection..the orfice is inside line near that uniion. the ac system must be evacuated prior to removal, and recharged afterwards..

it is located in the high pressure AC line at the AC evaporator core inlet. The high pressure line is the smaller of the two AC lines that come from the AC compressor on the engine..

did you find the location? Let me know one way or another so if I can help anymore ,I will

Testimonial: "Yeah it was actually a lot easier to change than I thought it would be. Now my compressor while recharging it isn't kicking on. Is there a way to get it going again or am I doomed to have to get a new one of those too? lol thanks"

SOURCE: loacation of the orifice tube

The AC evaporator orifice always has to be after the electronic freon release valve after the receiver/dryer, and the evaporator itself.
It is optimal for it to be as close to the evaporator as possible, so sometimes it is even part of the input for the evaporator.
However, it is best if it is separate, because the orifice often gets clogged.
But the most common cause of clogging is ice, so try a vacuum pump to desiccate any moisture out first.
If the clog is ice, you can tell by heating the orifice and melting the ice.
Careful not to get it too hot though.
You don't want to damage hoses, and if freon gets into a flame, it can be toxic.

1.6 L L01 I4 (G16B Suzuki actual)
2.0 L J20A I4 130 hp
2.5 L H25A V6 155 hp
the word Orifice is mostly told in the contexts of these subjects below.
1: engine head, orifice to limit cam gallery feed oil to cam.
2: AC air conditioning HVAC expansion valve ,as a spray orifice inside.
3: brake ABS modulators.
4: A/T automatic transmission has many. (vast)
5: fuel injectors are kind of modulated ORIFICE
6: crankshaft gallery feed orifices.
surely more can be found, but no clue me the problem.

I have the full set of manuals and endless data on some like G16 engines. just ask,

Were is expansion valve in a 2002 Chevy trailblazer in the truck

Are your asking about TXV valve thermal expansion valve for A/C system ? If you are ,yours doesn't have one . Has an orifice tube , The orifice tube is located in the liquid line between the condenser and the evaporator !
The orifice tube is the dividing point for the high and the low pressure sides of the A/C system. As the refrigerant passes through the orifice tube, the pressure on the refrigerant is lowered. Due to the pressure differential on the liquid refrigerant, the refrigerant will begin to vaporize at the orifice tube. The orifice tube also meters the amount of liquid refrigerant that can flow into the evaporator.
Unless you are referring to the auxiliary A/C system for the back of the vehicle , it uses a
The rear TXV is located at the rear evaporator inlet. The TXV is the dividing point for the high and the low pressure sides of the rear A/C system. As the refrigerant passes through the TXV, the pressure on the refrigerant is lowered. Due to the pressure differential on the liquid refrigerant, the refrigerant will begin to boil at the expansion device. The TXV also meters the amount of liquid refrigerant that can flow into the evaporator.

Location of thermostat 1997 ford taurus dohc 24 valve v6

on the 1997 Taurus DOHC v6 the thermostat is conveniently located at the front passenger side of the engine, just up over top of the the mud guard. There's about a dozen screws (bolt heads) to take off, slip out the mud guard and there's the lower radiator hose and the thermostat housing! The thermostat is held in by a reusable O ring and is pretty well engineered for being in such a surprising location.

How do i change the orfus-tube on 1999 pontiac grand prix?

A/c work is not exactly a Do it yourselfer job with out special tools and equipment. You have to recover the freon form the system first, locate the section of A/C line that houses the orifice tube, Seoerate the two tube sections and remove the orifice tube, Coat the rubber bushing on the new orifice tube with a light film of PAG oil and install the same way it came out, Install new o-rings to the seperated lines , put lines back to gether, using a vaccuum pump draw the a/c system down to 25- 30 inches of vacuum,(mercury is the correct term) then recharge a/c system with proper amount of r-134a. This is really a job best left to a repair shop but it can be done by a D I Yer with proper tools and equipment.
