Undo fuel pipe where it exits the fuel pressure regulater and turn engine over , use bucket and rag to catch pumped fuel , do this for half gallon and reconnect ,, then take spark plugs out and clean with easy start (eather) and replace , should start fine now ,

92 vw passat 2.0 16v wont start.

I bet it's the gas. After some time the gas will no longer be volatile enough to start the car. Try draining all the fuel and putting in some fresh gas. Remember, when you try to start it again you'll need to get the new gas through the pump and lines before it will start. Also, check the condition of the injectors. Old gas can start to break down and build up a film that could be on your injectors (or clog your fuel filter- better check that too). Hope this helps.

1987 mercrusier 180hp wont stay running unless i pump the gas

Could be a small amount of rust got into fuel filter from sitting empty, try changing fuel filter before worrying about the fuel pump.Filters could be partly plugged and its always smart to start with the cheaper fixes first.

I have a 1998 Dodge Caravan. I got a "tune up" approx. 2 weeks ago with new spark plugs, fuel filter & air filter. It did fine driving around town & on a 130 mile trip. I filled up with...

Sounds like you got a tank of bad gas. That would easily cause your issues. Start by draining as much as you can, put a can of Seafoam in there, add a few gallons of fresh gas, drive to the gas station and tank up, and run that tank down until your gas light comes on before adding more. You may end up needing a fuel filter or plugs again, but with minimal run time on the bad gas, you'll probably be fine.

Filled tank with gas and now my van wont run well or even start sometimes

If this happened right after the fill up then perhaps you put in the wrong octane or perhaps deisel... Some gas stations have older tanks which can be filled with water. Change your fuel filter and also confirm that the fuel pump is up to par and not failing.

Ran out of gas and wont start

Sounds like a typical case of letting the car run dry out of fuel, you may want to try spraying starter fluid into the intake/air filter after allowing the key to be left on in the run position for a few seconds, this allows the fuel pump to fill the fuel lines with fuel, then try spraying a shot of start fliud if still no start you may have a more serious problem....fuel contamination...the bottom of the fuel tank may have sediment in it and when you let it go dry it pulled up the bad stuff and now it needs to be flushed.
New fuel filter, injector service, fuel tank drained/flushed and fuel lines drained.

Something in my fuel pump is draining my battery and the van wont start. Meaning this I charge up the battery to start the van and the van will turn over but not fire (start) I replaced the fuel pump...

could be a bad ( tps ) sensor it registers the amount of pedal you give it so it knows how much fuel to give the engine if the starting volts are not where they should be it won't start.

My 1998 contour svt has been sitting for two years, trying to start car, it wont..is the gas bad in the tank

If it's been sitting for that long, yes the gas goes bad. Drain the tank, fuel lines and even the spark plugs becuase the old gas will foul them too.
Check air filter for free air flow and possible critters living in the intake... two years is quite a while for a car to sit... Also after it's running have your oil and filter changed as well.
