Cd player turned off and on then went off. i unplugged the cd player an the fuse was blown so i put a new fuse in and hooked it back up and the cd player started smoking so i unhokked it and now the door chime and door lights stay on. what would cause this to happen?

no single sensor would cause all of that. Sound like you have a short in a wiring harness somewhere. I would take it to a dealer for an extensive check.

i had the same issue and behind the driver door speaker there is a door chimer speaker. mine was blown. i had the same issue with no noice coming from the turning signal or door chime.

SOURCE: Overhead light, map lights, door chime, and aftermarket radio all stopped working at the same time.

check for a corroded common earth wire.

If power wire is really supplying juice (check with test lamp) the internal fuse in player may be blown.

read my other solution on the other one you posted. yes, the fuse is more-than-likely blown. but also you wired it completely wrong. look on my other solution on the other one you posted, it has the correct wiring diagram. there are 2 wires on the wiring diagram i posted that have the lights. one red is the int.light, and the other one is the turn signal wiring.
