Strange wire I have a 1996 audi a6 quattro and under the back seat there is a red wire hooked to the negative side of the battery. There is also a blue wire that may have been attatched to it with a 15 fuse on it what does it go to?

There should be a positive terminal under the hood under a red cap as i am assuming ur battery is not visible, use something steel on the motor for a ground, sometimes the batteries to newer vehicles are under the rear seat so if ur having trouble finding out how to even hook up the cables i would look under the hood for the terminal first, will probly be in a random place then if u cant find that or the battery check under the back seats

Your A6 Quattro's battery is located in the engine bay, in the center up against the firewall. It sits beneath a dust cover, so you will need to remove that to access the battery

either a dead battery or bad wire connections from battery to starter first check and clean battery connections if still not starting try jumping battery if it still click than you have bad connection at starter

This switch should be located on the side of the transmission and will have 2 wires coming out of it.

Tap around the edges of the tire with a rubber mallet. But be sure to have the car jacked up safely and watch yout feet while doing so. It is being held on by rust at this point. This should loosen it up.

It's under the rear seat on the right side of the car. Pull the two phillips screws at the front lower edge of the rear seat bench and lift the seat out from the front edge and then out. The battery is held down with a 13mm bolt and tall bracket. Cables are 10mm nuts.
