Traction control/abs module no communication. Second gear starts in trans. All powers and grounds appear to be good to abs control module.
SOURCE: abs light stays on
you could have a bad wheel speed sensor, you would need to bring this to a shop or dealer that can access the on board computer to see which one is bad,or look for broken wires at the wheel speed senors on each wheel.
SOURCE: brake light abs light traction control light all
you'll have to have it diagnosed at a repair shop to pinpoint the source. sorry, but thats how they make them. you could buy your own but it'll cost about 200$
SOURCE: traction control/ABS lamps lit trans starts in 2nd
most likly is a bad valvebody on in the trans itself.

change shift solinoids. located in transmission pan. 4.6l north star has a 4t80e tranny. remove bolts holding pan drop pan . now disconnect the shift solinoids thair are 2 u should see several bolts around 20 bolts holdong the valve body to the transmission unscrew thees bolts . ( 10MM) before removing all bolts disconnect the hook with a clip going to the valve body.its located to a spring and lever. now remove rest of bolts. DO NOT LET IT FALL DOWN. remove the connector going to manifold pressure sensor. use a flat head screw driver to pull clips holding the solinoids in place. thair should be a small **** located on the other side of throdle body. DO NOT REMOVE ALL THE BOLTS OUT OF THE BODY. THAIR ARE BALL BERINGS INSIDE THAT WILL FALL OUT OF PLACE. the screen is located in between the shift solinoids. DO NOT DO THIS JOB WITHOUT ALREADY HAVING THE REPLACMENT PARTS ON HAND. when putting every thang back together i would check the wiring harness for anny shorts . Mite be a good idea to have the vehicle check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes if the grounds are good !
This vehicle is equipped with a computer system capable of performing multiple engine and body control functions. Vehicle components such as windows, locks, mirrors, etc. are controlled directly by their system control module. Each system control module communicates with other system control modules on a serial data circuit. The vehicle system control modules are all attached to the serial data circuit that provides the data link communications. This data link, or serial data circuit, provides 2-way communication between various engine and body control system control modules.

If it communicated with all the modules , then I would check for DTC's - diagnostic trouble codes ! If there was a code I would go to the diagnostics for that code .If there were no codes I would go to the symptom:s list an in your case it is
TRACTION CONTROL Indicator Always On
Circuit Description
The instrument cluster controls the operation of the TRACTION CONTROL indicator. The EBCM reports the desired status of the TRACTION CONTROL indicator via class 2 serial data messages.
When you first turn the key on , without starting the vehicle
Does the TRACTION CONTROL indicator illuminate during the bulb check and then turn OFF after a few seconds ? IF there are no DTC"S stored this could be a wiring problem or the instrument cluster or Electronic Brake Control Module ! Or you can try a reset by disconnecting the battery cables from the battery ! negative first then positive an touch the cable ends together for a minute , then hook them back-up ! positive first then negative ! Heard of this from others on the internet ! But if there is a real problem the light will come back on !
