SOURCE: pulsates when starts then shuts down after warmed up

Check all of your connections at the coil pack. Ensure that the coil packs do not have any corrosion under them were they connect into the base module or any of the connections, even plug wires. I had this same problem with my 2.2 in a 99' s-10. Pulled the coil apart, cleaned it up and and put di-electric grease on it, all better.

SOURCE: Car starts fine after sitting awhile. If you drive awhile then stop and try to restart it won't.

Check the electronics, cam sensor or crank sensor these are the culprits.

Testimonial: "It was helpful as far as having another idea but we had to take it to the dealer as no one else was able to help. Thank you for your suggestions."

It may well be a cold start injector/air meter/sensor at fault.
Don't waste time and money changing things to cure the problem. The cheapest way is to take the car for a diagnostic check. They should be able to identify the fault immediately. You can then save money by rectifying the fault yourself ..

Just shut off the care returned 2 hours later no go got a boost went for a drive left the car running for awhile than it start to get like it was going to stall went on g=for a littlwe while than died....

Hi your problem sounds like the battery is gone and won`t take a charge. When your engine is running the alternator is supplying the electrical power to run the car ( and normally charging the
battery as well )
Even though it seems strange for the battery to go suddenly, it does happen.
How old is the bat. Most last about 5 years with normal driving ( batterys last longer if the car is used every day )
Anyway i hope i have been of some help to you.

2000 Mercedes CLK..I think it is a vapor lock problem..car starts as usual but 5-7 minutes later it just shuts down..happened in traffic..so I dont dare to drive it..Afterwards it doesnt start unril...

Sounds like the crankshaft position sensor needs to be replaced. They are a common problem with the Mercedes. That sensor is the one that the engine control module looks at to see if the engine is running. When they get hot and stop producing a signal the engine control module thinks the engine is not running and shuts of the fuel. After waiting awhile they cool down and the vehicle will start up again. I've changed many of them when I worked at the dealer. Tricky part is when there working and the car is running there will be no check engine light on or code stored. Usually will only have the code when the car won't start. Let me know what you end up finding out on it but that would be the first place to look and probably the cheapest.
