Intermittent check engine light

D16z6 model, Intermittent engine light will come on occasionally when driving, however when the engine is restarted, the light will turn off (following the 5 second check period). Any thoughts?

Auto zone or any parts store can plug in and read the code when it is active.

SOURCE: Check Engine Light is On

You did what thousands of people do they get a code and jump straight to replace a part no testing just guessing. code 43 is a fuel system problem code sure enough you absolutely need proffessional diagnostic help with this one you cannot go on another hondas code 43 because you can have two hondas exact same symptoms and even the color of the interior and have two completely different problems I realize it costs money to diagnose the problem but which is cheaper to pay diagnostic and only change the one bad thing or replace part after part then take it to be diagnosed and have them change one part?
Cmon Please do the right thing for your wallet honda is not a car for anyone but a professional to diagnose and fix.

How can I troubleshoot ignition switch?

If the lights in the dash come on when it dies, then the switch is working. Might want to check for codes. Even if the engine light isn't on. Intermittent problems don't turn the light on, but are stored in history codes. Check the battery to body ground.

Car randomly wont turn on/bogs down and dies

Could be a bad engine ground connection. There should be a cable connected between the engine block and the frame. If this is loose, it could cause intermittent failure of your ignition and your starter to operate properly.

Why do I have an intermittent problem with ABS and power steering lights?

Bad or loose intermittent wire connections to and from sensors. Some unauthorised mechanic has been working on the car? Take it back and talk to the service manager, or the shop owner.

Happens a lot. Always use the best high octane you can find. Check wire connections to knock sensor (most common cause for 'restricted performance light, sometimes outside temperature plays a part). Then disconnect negative terminal from battery, wait 2 minutes, reconnect. Then take car for a drive in various conditions, like city traffic, highway driving, and more. After several restarts, mine went away. Occasionally comes back, then disapiars. Ignore orange engine light.

Check engine light and lost of power

This sounds a lot like a bad TDC (Top Dead Center) sensor. Of the many sensors on this model vehicle, the TDC sensor failure is common and is one of the few sensor failures that will disable your vehicle.

Loss of power, glow plug light flashes, cruise control intermittent.

Check for intake blockage (coking). May also be a bad turbo-charger actuator pod or something as easy as a Mass Airflow Meter.
