I am trying to find the blinker relay on a 1988 chevy blazer....

Q1: all 4 dead?
Q2: do blinkers work ? hummmm

does car run perfectly
do all other lamps work? full bright head lights.
cranks fast not slow
battery charged? main car battery?
then
fuse meter good
fuse haz/turn good?
the tail fuse and tail relay most work or the HAZ switch is dead.
is the haz lamp dead? triangle ICON lamp?> in dash.

the schematic is below.
when you turn on the haz button , this sends 0v (ground) logic signal to the BCM puter.
and the turn /haz relay.
the blinker switch has its own inputs to the RELAY .
so one can fail and other work, and not stated, sadly.
its not really a relay its and electronics module.
(means testing it, is not relay like at all)
12v on both pins on left ? top.
in haz mode 0v on the yellow wire.?
if yes , yes, yes, then the relay is bad



the 48 slot is haz/blink relay module.

You must have one of the blinkers out have you checked the wing indicator or the earths or relay switch??

is your blinker bulb out.. that is usually what it means....

Had that problem with a 94 blazer turned out it was an electrical issue. Get a diagnostic check for your electrical system.

You have a bulb out on the side that flashes too fast, either front or rear check them both.

Flasher relays relies on bulb wattage for the speed of the blink.
You probably just have a blown bulb in the left rear blinker.:)

check the relay and blown out bulbs will cause the lights to blink fast or some to stay on. one bad bulb will cause the problems.

This usually means that you have a bulb burnt out. Check the left rear

The problem could be the wiring connecting to the lights, you need to check them for bare wires. Look them through for any metal hanging out of the rubber insulation. You may need to get new wiring.

If new bulbs don't work, it is probably the harness that holds the bulb. I had to replace both on my car after fighting with the problem for over a year and not knowing.
