There is no dipstick on a manual transmission. On a manual tranny, you check the fluid by pulling the fill plug on the side of the transmission. The fluid is supposed to be even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Gently stuck your finger in there and on a fully serviced trans. you will feel the fluid on your finger tip. On an auto transmission the dipstick is on the passenger side near the exhaust manifold close to the firewall. Also you fill the trans thru the dipstick. Make sure you use the proper fluid and the correct amount.22

How do I check and add ATF fluid in a 2004 VW convertible beetle s turbo

Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) is an important component for the proper function of your 2004 VW Beetle Convertible Turbo's transmission. Here are the steps to check and add ATF fluid:
  1. Locate the transmission dipstick. It is typically located near the back of the engine on the driver's side.
  2. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag.
  3. Re-insert the dipstick fully and remove it again to check the fluid level. The fluid should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the dipstick.
  4. If the fluid level is low, add fluid through the dipstick tube. It is recommended to use the same type of fluid specified by the manufacturer, Volkswagen G 052 162 A2 or Volkswagen G 052 990 A2.
  5. Repeat the process of checking and adding fluid until the fluid level is between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the dipstick.
  6. Run the engine for a few minutes and recheck the fluid level to make sure that it is correct.

Cant find transmission dip stick , 5 speed manual.

The 5 speed manual transmission in your Focus doesn't have a Dipstick, the fluid level is checked by going under the car and removing a fill plug on the side of the transmission case, you then stick your pinkie in the hole and if you can just touch the transmission lube the level is correct. No Ford except automatic transmission models has dipsticks, and even those have been eliminated on the latest models.

How do you check transmission fluid in 2004 Suzuki Forenza

There is no dipstick to check the automatic transmission fluid in the 2004 Suzuki Forenza. It is checked like a manual transmission. You will have to remove the fill plug underneath the car and then add some new transmission fluid until it drizzels out of the hole.

How do i check tranmision fluid on a 2004 ford exployer xlt. It has no dipstick to check level or to add fluid.

On transmission pan drain plug will have a small hex screw in the center of drain plug, with engine running and in park remove little center screw, if fluid comes out, transmission level is good, of no fluid come out, will have to pump fluid in that same little plug hole, till fluid starts to come out.

How do I check the transmission fluid?

In an automatic transmission, the dipstick should be located around back of the engine. You let the engine run to normal operating temp. and you check the fluid level, add as needed. You add through the dipstick tube with a funnel. Hope this helps.

Cant find a dipstick to check transmission fluid on a Saturn L300 (2004). Where do you check the amount of fluid in the transmission.

Sometimes like in a BMW there is no dipstick and the fluid may be checked by a cylinder container much like the brake fluid resevoire. It would have a dipstick in the cap.
