Make sure that your battery connections are clean on contact surfaces and properly tightened. Check to make sure your battery has 12v or better in it.If not, have it charged and load tested.

Fuel filters clog up just like air filter and oil filters. Their job is keep crud out of the engine. All three are important to change. The oil filter every oil change (every 5000 clicks on conventional filter). The air filter - urban driving - every other oil change. The fuel filter - good name brand fuel - every 100,000 clicks, not so good brand of fuel - every 50,000 clicks (cheaper fuel or old gas stations can present more contaminants -- as can an old cars gas tank interior). Gasoline contains water, water in the metal storage tank, water in the metal gas tank, water in the metal gas lines (end result rust!). underground storage tank also present opportunity to introduce dirt to fuel.

Dirty fuel filter can reduce engine efficiency/fuel economy. Can also present low fuel flow by fuel pump and that can present fuel starvation to the engine. As well harder work for the fuel pump (bringing on premature failure).

How do I turn on bottom fog lights on 2008 ford edge.

Through the same switch that turns on your headlights; after turning on the headlights, pull the knob to the switch towards you...just make sure the high-beams are off since the fog lights will turn off when the high-beams are on.

All done lights flash on and off and the turn

The wire for a door switch is laying on the flasher terminals where the e is crimped to the socket for the flasher. Move the wire and the flasher will flash correctly and the dome lite will work correctly too.

Door ajar message on my 2008 ford edge

open the door and manually press in the little switch that the door closes onto. If the door open light stays on then there is probably water got into the back of the switch or dirt ... giving a false signal to the dash light. try cleaning the switch and contacts.

Wrench light is coming on and display reads ODO Error, no power in Drive, can only go in Reverse

My 2008 Ford Edge had the same error with the same issue - no power in drive, will only go in reverse. My Ford Dealer is replacing a speed sensor and a turbine sensor. They also recommended a transmission flush and re-programming. Total estimate is 4-5 hours plus parts - about $1,000.

My 09 ford edges left rear taillite keeps comming on when the car is off! What is the problem?

Are you sure it is actually on and not a sun-light reflection? Have you tested this theory in the absolute darkness? If light really is on, it may be a stuck relay or switch. But most likely both lights would be on and not just one.
