Hard to tell from the question, but it could be that the drive belt that assists the power steering pump is loose or worn. Check any and all drive belts for proper tension and condition. The power steering pump is mounted top front of the motor. It has a fill cap on top where you can easily check if it needs power steering fluid. On the old subarus, they recommend using ATF (automatic transmission fluid) instead of power steering fluid. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: 1993 subaru legacy front cv axles

First thing to have checked would be the front CV axles. If the rubber boots rip and allow the grease out it can damage the joints and they will make a clicking sound. Worn out axle joints can also bind and make it feel jerky. If they are making that loud of a noise it could become a safety issue, have them checked out soon.

SOURCE: how do i bleed my power steering rack on subaru legacy rs turbo

A power steering dosent need bleeding. If you replaced it a week ago and was fine until now then it's not an air problem. Power steering fluid is pumped through the system even when the steering is not being used. Definatly not an airlock problem. Cheer's

How do i bleed my power steering rack on subaru legacy rs turbo

if its been a week, there should no tbe any air. if its heavy, the rack could be bad, or weak pump????? any noises? air will usually cause a whiney noise, and there will be air whipped, foamy fluid in the pump. A pump pressure regulator could be stuck open, not allowing full pressure? I would have a shop diagnose it, tell them the history and see if they can find a cause.

Subaru legacy 4 wheel drive problems

What issues are you having? Is it jerking while making tight turns (typically u turns)? If so, your clutches for your all wheel drive are bad or your duty pressure solenoid located in the valve body is bad. This can happen if something hits the transmission pan and hits the solenoid.
