Turn Signals do not work - 1999 Cadillac Deville

I do believe you have individual fuses for the light assembly on your car. I know newer ones do. You might want to check them first. You have a panel under the hood and one under the back seat. Both will be marked under the cover.

all gm cars and most others have two flahers one turn signal and one hazard check behind the fuse box for the other flasher

For 1996 Cadillac Deville 4.6L SFI DOHC 8cyl... the Flasher is located:
- HAZARD LIGHTS: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column
- TURN SIGNAL: Front seating area, driver side, under dash, mounted on passenger side of steering column

The turn signal switch is most likely the problem,but change the flasher for the turn signals first,some times this is all that it is.

You likely have a burned out signal light. Some cars in the 1980s and 90s used the no-flash to show you the light was out.

If you are sure all lights (front and rear) turn on when you turn on the indicator, then the flasher unit is burned out. This is normally near the fuse box and is a round or square block about half the size of a baby food jar.

You can get one at pep-boys for about $12. I'd check the lights first.

You have a bad flasher unit. They are usually located under the dash adjacent to the steering column. They are inexpensive and can be purchased at any auto parts store. Just find it, unplug the bad one and plug in the new one and presto.....your turn signals and hazard flashers should be good as new!! Hope this helps and good luck.

the problem is a bad flasher. $10.98 at advance auto. remove panels under steering wheel with 9/32 socket. It is hard to see turn blinker on to confirm it should tick each time. should take about 1/2 hour.

bulbs might look good but it dont mean they are. I suggest changing the bulbs.

Turn signal flasher module is behind dash left of steering column near chime module. I have a 94 Seville and I had that same problem you need a Turn Signal Flasher Moduel, I forgot the proper term for it but I had to get mine replaced too. When I hit the signals to turn the side light would come on but the signal light wouldn't. Its a little box you get from Cadillac it only cost like $20 - $25 and you get it installed and trust. It'll work again. I just got mine done this week and my car now has turn signals again.

check the headlight relays under the hood also fuses under the hood and in the interior fuse pannel.
