Car dying out while Im drivin it

I recently purchased this vehicle. I got a complete tune up and oil change. Well when I purchased the vehicle it didn't have a stereo in it at all. When I got a radio installed the car wouldn't start. Well I have since then taken the radio out and replaced the idle control sensor and the massive air flow sensor. The problem is I can start the car, and drive it down the street to the store and it will die out. After this happens, I will wait to try and restart the car. It starts back up and sometimes drive like there is nothing wrong with it at all other times it will die back out if I put my foot on the gas pedal. When it is dying out I can have my gas pedal completely to the floor of the car and it will not idle back up or anything. I am so confused. I have had severl mechanics look at it and they are at a loss as to what the problem actually is. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks....

It sounds like some thing you have done if the fault started after the tune , did you check the gap on the new plugs, check the firing order as it may be messed up . 4 cylinder 1342 6 cylinder 153624 in direction of rotation.

I recently purchased a 1996 LS400. The odometer reads 156,200 miles. I have a few extra dollars to put work into it what should I have the mechanic check, fix, replace, and look at on the car.

The entire car

NO ONE

NO PROFESSIONAL will do what you ask or is needed,
regardless of age or mileage

That is not the business their in

Shops diagnose & repair failed & lots of neglected vehicles

To do what is required would take at least $1,000

You need all fluids changed, all filters, ignition parts at least inspected
Lots of road testing with scan tool

It is 18 years old

I would be here for an hour to answer that question

I was drivin and all of a sudden my vehicle says stop car vehicle to low so I get it towed

if you had your oil changed or you changed the oil your self and the change oil light was never reset it will flash a light saying low eng. power, and if you try to push the gas and you got no power , the car will do this so you dont burn up your moter. so if you dont reset it after a oil change it will do this too.

change the crankshaft postion sensor and the mass airflow sensor and the Idle AIr Temperature sensor to make sure im most likely sure ist the crankshaft sensor also make sure that you have a clean air filter not enought clean air could cause the car to stall also inspect your injectors make sure that they arent cracked or leaking i would put some fuel injector cleaner just to be sure

My car is just dying after being drivin afew miles and if you wait about 10 minutes it starts up again and runs what could be wrong with it? it just had a tune up and oil change.

It could be several things that are causing this condition. I know of one that is not common but cab cause the issue your are having. It is possible the main relay is defective. When it gets hot, the connection inside breaks, and the engine will shut down and/or not start until it cools itself off. It is located under the dash, driversside and is attached to the left side firewall.

Cuts off when it rains but cranks back up

you may have bad sparkplug wires, when was the last time you had the car tuned up, sounds like it may be time for a complete tune up.

How many more years can I get out of this car

If you keep it serviced and drive with care, then you could get another 100,000 miles out of it. But don't take my word as gospel as engines are fickle and can just die for no reason. Nissans are very reliable by reputation so keep a regular service and it could last a long time.

Wrong Transmission oil

you dont need a complete oil change.
the other oil will also lubricate, so the oil you have put on, is as good as the oil who was there before
