2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer rear defog switch stuck on draining battery

I do not have an interchange for that part, but I can tell you that they have a different part number.

Your owners manual will give you fuse location and identification for the rear wiper. Most likely a wiper motor problem though. Turn on rear wiper and grab rear wiper arm and see if it will move at all. If it does move a bit or starts working....the motor is the problem

first off run the fault codes and then you will know which sensors to replace. A good workshop manual will be a big help for you.

Remove the negative battery cable, connect an amp meter in series, between lead and battery terminal, should have a reading of approx 0.05 amp (Time Clock). If higher, then there is a drain, remove the fuses one at a time and watch for a drop on the amp meter. when it does you have found the circuit giving trouble. I would expect a reading of about 8 amps if it's the defog causing the problem. You could try taking the defog switch out first to see if that's the problem.

pull that switch from dash board and check the plug. make sure you have no burned or melted wires. maybe just the switch

if you open up your drivers door there will be a sticker inside there that tells you proper tire sizes and proper inflation for front and rear tires

bad seat motor or switch. check the switch first

The headlamp switch will cause the lamps to turn off. The switch heats up and turns the headlamps off. It will cool down and work for about 10 minutes and cut out,

If you check the connection of the battery .
if you hear a cliking noise. and lights inside weak.
Is mean the battery is descharged or not good.
Try giving jumpstart cables. or with other battery.
Really I guess is a battery problem.
If the vehicle start. check if the Alternator is Charging.
