There is a keeper on the inside of the arm. its easier to get to if you remove the whole arm. lift the wiper arm and near the pivot point there is a little flat bar that sticks out along the arm itself. its about a quarter inch long. pull that out alittle and slide the arm off the peg. makes it easier for me. if you cannot get the wiper off still, destroy it. your replacing it anyway and the arm is pretty sturdy.

2005 chevy aveo the wipers will not park. Battery was boosted with the wrong polarity and now the wipers stop as soon as you turn off the wipers. They will not park or the delay wiper will not work,

Replace the wiper motor assembly. I would guess that you have destroyed the logic in the control assembly. Electronics do not like being reversed on polarity.

How to change the rear wiper blade? It is not acting like what the owner's manual describes it. 2009 chevy traverse

Lift it up and pull the retainer ring off, then pull the whole assebly off. They sell the whole assembly as a replacement, not just the blade.

Delay wipers only work on high speed on 2000 chevy silverdo 1500 truck no delay

Hello, my name is Ben and I can help you with this problem. This is a very common problem with Chevy. You need what is known in most vehicles as a "pulse board". The pulse board is located inside the wiper motor control module. On many vehicles the pulse board is replaceable, unfortunately on your Silverado you must replace the entire Wiper Motor Control Module which is bolted onto the top of the wiper motor. To get to the wiper motor, first remove those little nut covers on the big end of the windshield wiper arms, if you slip a small screwdriver or your fingernail they just pop off. Now unbolt the windsheild wiper arms, before removing the wiper arms, mark their location on the windsheild with a grease pencil or magic marker. The arms are hard to remove, you need to kinda wiggle and pull at the same time, now that long plastic cowl needs to come off, those clips at the front edge just slide forward, then at each end lift up that rubber flap and remove those TORX screws. Remove the cowl and set it somewhere SAFE, it's easy to break. You will now see the control module mounted on the wiper motor, unplug the electrical connections and remove the TORX screws holding it to the motor. Assembly is the reverse of dis-assembly. If you have any trouble or questions, feel free to ask, Ben.

My 1991 chevy silverado wipers work sometimes and sometimes they don't. i can't figure it out. how do i fix the problem so they always work?

Sounds as though you have a short lift hood and and giggle wires going to wiper mot-er while wiper switch is on if it starts that means you have a short. If not replace wiper motor.

How to get the old wiper blade assembly off 87 S10 Blazer

With the pin style blades, if you look into the top of the blade at the point were the pin goes through, you will see what looks like a spring or a coil on its side. Use a small screwdriver and push down on that coil at the same time that you try to push the wiper off the pin. I have changed more of these than you can think of, and they are never easy, you have to get things in just the right possition before it will come all the way off. Once you do one the other will come off easier. One word of caution, don't let the wiper arm slip out of your hand and smack the windsheild, it can break it.

Have 1989 New Yorker, looks like a pin wiper blade replacement, but there is no place to snap off the cover over the pin.

i believe that this wiper is actually a hook type where you remove the whole blade assebly by pushing in the sides at the connection where the blade meets and then pulling down the whole wiper blade from the rod it connects to(in other words if you pull the wiper blade upright and away from the window you actually pull the whole blade assembly doown towArds the hood)

328 2000 windscreen wipers.

I replaced mines not too long ago. I have a BMW 3281 -1999. I am not sure if the 2000 is much different. But hwat I did is as follows.

1. Remove the plastic covers.
2. Remove the nuts holding the wipers
3. To remove the assebly DO NOT pull straight up, but rather start pushing the wiper down against the spring loaded mechanism. Do it several times and you see that the assembly starts coming off. (this is the trick a learned, otherwise is it almost imposible to remove them).
4. Once replaced, put back together the assembly, nut and plactic cover. The whole job should take you like one hour.
