There are several things that could cause this problem - having a Diagnostic scan and code check should be the first step.
There are just too many things to check without that scan done - you could throw a lot of money at it and still be D.O.A.

SOURCE: 1995 Jeep Wrangler 2.5L Fuel Pump/Check engine light

Could be one of several items...I'd check the fuel pump relay, auto shutdown relay and the ignition switch itself. I'd bet on it being one of those relays but, we all have been fooled at least once!!! I'd also make sure that body and engine grounding is good and clean. Relays can't work properly without a good ground.

SOURCE: Hard starting when cold ( engine cranks normally )

see if your engine has a ECT sensor (temp sensor that delivers information to your ECM) they are installed on the intake side of the cylinder head, it usually has 2 cables, have it checked replace if necesary

Won't start, check engine light come on, will start

wont crank or wont start, no car starts (cept my M/t) unless cranked with the starter motor.
the starter motor starts the engine.
so which is it, not cranking?
also there is a Immobilizer (SKIM) lamp that must not be on , cranking or its will not start. by design.

this is correct. the CEL lamp glowing tells you 2 things
EFI is now active and the (ECU/PCM) just passed the basic test.

if its slow? to come on , the fuses for it are loose/bad or the battery is weak.
or discharged, or the key switch is failing.

find any ASE shop in town and get it checked out.
ASE are pro grade shops. that are honest and very skilled.

1994 jeep wrangler no power to coil.....will crank....wont start....changed cps....still does not start....flywheel problem? help...thanx

Is the check engine light lighting up on the dashboard, when you turn the ignition key to on? If not then your ecu is in need of repair since it is not sending power to the coil and probably also not to the injectors also.

98 jeep wrangler wont start. no spark from coil. new coil, wires, rotar and cap. what next

there is only two things left. the crank sensor that is located at the top of the transmission bellhousing or the pick up inside of the dist. it is that black plate that sits between the cap and the dist housing. hope that helps.

Staring issue... 1999 Jeep Wrangler 4 cylinder(manual tran). recently I've noticed that in the morning or after it's sat for while, when I turn the key the engine cranks for a couple of seconds before...

instead of cranking, just leave key on for a minute...if there isn't a delay starting after that it may be a bad drainback valve in the pump. You can either live with it for a while or replace pump...but check that it's not an injector leaking into engine first.(usually if that's the case, leaving key on will lengthen start time and give a puff of black smoke on startup)

'98 Wrangler, cleaned battery cables, flashers blink won't start

From your post, it seems that you may have only cleaned the outside of the terminals. The engine was cranking... this tells me that 'though cleaning the terminals is a good maintenence item, you did not have a problem there. Remove the cables and clean the inside of the wire terminals and the battery contacts. This will put you back where it would crank, but not start. (make sure the battery is fully charged while you are there)
After you can crank the engine, check for spark at plug wires, fuel supply etc. Problems there will begin to tell you where to proceed!
Good luck!
