does it clcik? turn on your headlights and try cranking the engine over, if the lights don't dim then your wire to your starter is not recieving power to the starter solnoid. there is a round device monted on the side near the battery that has a wire that goes to the battery and one that goes to the starter then there will be one small wire which actavates the starter take a pair of jumper cables place the car in park turn the key to the run postion hook up one end of the cable to the positive side of the battery and the other end to the small wire if it cranks over it means the wire is not working and will have to be tested for aa bad fuse or a fuseable link. Next hook the cable that is connected to the positive side of the battery and connect it to the other side of the solinoid that goes to the starter if it cranks yo know the solinoid is good if it does not replace the solinoid and that should fix your problem. If it does not crank on the first test replace the solinoid anyway, if it still does not work the starter is bad or loose/ You can remove the starter and take itto autozone and they can test it for free. Hope this helps get you up and going and if it does not post what you find here on the e-mail you recieve. Thanks for your time.

First make shure your battery has a full charge then check all the starter wires and see that
they are tight also check the battery wires to enshure they have a propper connection.
It may be wise to see if the starter silinoid is working properley. After all this stuff is checked and
working and your starter in not working you may have to replace the starter.
SOURCE: Loud clicking sound when trying to start my 2010 ford escape. It dosn't start, it just clicks
check for battery, battery terminals not clean for good contact, faulty starter solenoid. Tapped the starter with something heavy and try to start.
