The module is in the distibiutor on the 3.0 engine if you have the 3.5 it would be the crank sensor to the ECM with cam sensor also. Have you checked to see if the timing belt is still intact and moving the camshafts. I have also seen a lot of ecu issues that cause the same thing. But I would start with simple steps Check fuses and connections first.
Temp switch - Under hood, center, upper engine area, front of intake manifold, driver side of distributor, mounted in engine block,
Coolant temp sensor - Under hood, center, front engine area, passenger side of distributor, mounted in intake manifold,
There is no water sensor
My suspicion is brake light switch has gone bad. It's located just above brake pedal below dash. (small plastic switch with a couple of wires - pretty simple fix)
