Hows to reset oil light and oil filter light on 2007 nissan altmi

Reset Oil Maintenance Light on 2007-2012 Nissan Altima:

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position but do not start the engine.
2. There are 2 square buttons on the dash, push the left one (ENTER button) until the "Setting" mode is displayed.
3. Enter the Setting mode by pressing the right one (NEXT button)
4. Highlight the Maintenance option and select it by push the ENTER button.

According to Nissan owners club online - - -
There are 2 square buttons on the dash, to the left of the steering wheel. Push the left one to get to the maintenance screen and push the right one to change the "oil", "oil filter", or tire schedules. Don't worry about "other".
To reset, highlight the number and just hit "back", to reset it automatically. It takes a while but you'll figure it out.

it wont go away because their is a mechanical problem and or problem with oil change [ not enough oil wrong filter etc ] will need to have vehicle scanned for the fault code to determine the problem most auto stores offer this service for free

You need to reset your ECM "computer" Do this by turning your key to on position with your a/c to on and remove positive battery cable. Wait 30 sec. then turn off key and replace battery cable, Good luck to ya.

To reset "Maintenance Notice" on the display, turn the ignition key to ON, with engine off. Select the "Maintenance Schedule' key by using the button to right or left. Using the button select the "Reset" key and push the "Enter" button.

take the battery head off for about 20 mins then put it back on it will be gone

2009 this is a diagnostic job dealer only ,my alldata book only goes up to 2007 then it say consult dealer ,but this is a europen book for europeon cars and we do have encrypted software on europeon market models

This procedure should be in the owners manual and is very simple.

According to the owner's manual, it will take 4-7/8 qts if you change the filter and 4-1/2 qts if you don't change the filter, See page 304 of manual...

Hi, I'm a DIY guy, but I don't know how to reset the oil maintenance light that came ON on my 2010 Altima. I had it service at the dealer and won't tell me how to reset it. Thanks
