Car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down Honda accord lx 1992 I have a problem with my 1995 honda accord, my brake lights wont shut off? I cannot find a blue switch underneath the brake pedal.I was told it might be a relay in the fuse box underneath the hood can someone help me please! 1996 Honda odyssey, car is off, rear brk lights still on
It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.
Most times when the light stays on the brake pedal does not come back and open the switch . the return spring on the pedal may be broken .or the bracket switch may be bent . the pedal has to come back and contact the switch to open the circuit.

Thank a lot for the answer of the stop light, yet the problem was missing the rubber stopper I did put an a plastic bolt and replace the old swich and light sand pedal work like they can be.
