I've got a 1987 Toyota Camry and I'm having a hard time removing the Alt Fuse (80 amp) from the compartment next to the battery. The two other fuses come out just fine. Is there a trick?

SOURCE: Toyota Avalon 120 amp main fuse removal.

you have to loosen the mounting bolts on the fuse panel and on the bottom side the fuse is held in by 2 8 millimeter bolts.

SOURCE: My 1987 Camry Alt Fuse Keeps Blowing. Brand New

you will have to check the wires in the circuit for the system both positive and negative as you don`t say which battery terminal you connect when the fuse blows.it will be a short as an 80amp draw is alot to blow for a fuse.try disconnecting the alternator before hooking up the battery.if it(fuse)doesn`t blow then the problem is the alternator new or not,as thats the only thing removed from the system witht he fuse not blowing.if it does blow the wiring will have to be checked for shorts.

My 1987 Camry Alt Fuse Keeps Blowing. Brand New Alternator Brand New Battery . As Soon As I Change The 80 amp Fusible Link And Reconnect The Battery It Blows Immediately

I suggest to check if you have oil leaking onto your alternator or did you recently replace the alternator? Keep in mind that the voltage regulator is built into the alternator on vehicles and I have seen oil leaks internally short the alternator or poor quality aftermarket parts.

Also check ground and wires broke or in short.

I have a 1987 toyota pickup and I blew an 80 amp fuse in a fuse box that is located in line from my battery to the starter. This seems to be a relay box which feeds the starter. I tried to pull the fuse...

it is bolted underneath of the fuse box. Disconnect the positive battery terminal FIRST. Then remove the three bolts holding the fuse box on. flip it over, and remove the bolts holding the fuseable link in place. installation is the reverse.

I am looking for the location of the power outlet and cigarette lighter fuses and their amp rating in a 2001 camry. Is there some diagram that shows all the fuse locations along with their amp rating.

Take the coin box out. There is diagram for the fuse of CIG lighter. 15 AMP small fuse. you might have replacement fuse under the hood(engine compartment, main fuse box where you will also find fuse removal tool)

A battery was hooked up backwards in car we now have no dash ac etc is there a fuse????

yes there are several fuses including a large amperage fuse in the outside fuse box probably 50 or 100 amp, take your time and carefully check all the fuses inside the pass compartment and under the hood ,youll probably find at least 3-5 fuses blow.

Where are the fuses located inside the 91 Toyota Camry?

There are three fuse panels. The passenger side fuse box is right behind the passenger side kick panel. The main fuse and relay block is near the battery in the engine compartment. The Instrument panel fuse box is on the left side of the steering column on the dashboard.

I have a 1994 Toyota Camry and it won't start. It

You might also check the AM2 fuse in the engine compartment fuse box. There is a "noise supression" capacitor inside the distributor that shorted out on my '93 camry. You can replace the capacitor for about $10, but the capacitor is kind of hard to get at. I had to remove the distributor to get at it, but if you are a good mechanic, you can probably repair it in place.

With the AM2 fuse blown, I was getting crank, but no fire.

2003 Toyota Camry Alternator Fuze

To change the 100amp Alt fuse you need to get inside the fuse box. To do this remove the battery and then you'll need to remove the air intake to allow you to get to the screws to loosen the fuse box. Once you've removed the fuse you'll need to separate the top from the bottom, this can be done by inserting a small screw driver in the clips located around the outside of the box. Now you need to remove the screw on both the inside and outside which holds the 100amp fuse in place, the screw actually goes through the hole in the connector legs of the fuse. You should be able to see these holes in the legs of the new replacement fuse, so you know where they're located. It may be tricky but can be done, I've done it. Once you get both screws out the old fuse can be removed. Replace the old with the new fuse and reverse the process to replace all parts as before and you should have things running again. I did this with another helper as we were trouble shooting until we figured out that the legs were held by the two screws, one on each leg.
