I HAVE A 99 HONDA ACCORD V6 WITH 250K MILES. WHILE DRIVING AT 70MPH I WILL LOOSE POWER WHILE THE ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING AND THEN A COUPLE OF SECONDS, POWER IS BACK. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITENT, HAPPEN EVERY NOW AN THEN, BUT DAYS OR WEEKS COULD GO BY WITHOUT IT HAPPENING AGAIN. COULD THIS BE A PROBLEM WITH THE MAIN RELAY?

Hi, Sounds like the clutch plate or converter is starting to go.
At 250 K. It is time for a new one.(clutch and/or converter).
Another thing which I hope it isn't. Water in gas. If it is dump some alcohol in the tank, sold at many auto shops.
Good luck

normally that happens with a fuel pump going bad or your ignition coil gets to hot n shuts down. when it happens again, take your spark plug wire off, have someone to help you start the car if no spark its gotta be your fuel pump

I have 1995 Honda accord LX 4 door, it has 135,000 miles. Recently when driving, it is stopping all of a sudden without any warning on the road. It is very scary when car looses it power and stops...

If you haven't had the timing belt done, there is a good chance that the timing belt broke. It is due to be replaced every 90,000 miles along with the water pump. You have an interference engine which means that if the timing belt fails, the valves will hit pistons likely cause damage to the engine. Best case, you get away with having the timing belt replaced. Worst case, you will need an engine.

Only on a long drive the car begins to heat up ! after about 25 miles going 70mph car reaches half on the heat meter ... when there is traffic after about 25miles car get above half and even close to...

You'll probably just have a car that slowly heats up, not a problem at all, as for the overheating, it could be due to low coolant, or check your radiator fan is working to cool the engine down.

What mileage or duration should I change the transmission oil of my 1999 Honda accord (HONDA ACCORD 1999)

My Accord V6 '99 has over 215,000. You can use synthetic transmission oil if its zr1 compatible. I change mine every 60,000 or so. Its 3 qts for the v6. The nissan maximas are the ones that have transmissions that generally dont last past 120,000 miles. Why do you still see many 98 and 99 accords still on the road Carlos?
If yours went at 70,000 than you need to buy a haynes manual and keep up with the maintenance on your car. By the way. Honda Accords are notorious for running fine after 200,000 miles. The parts are easy access and if you use a cheap obd2 scanner you can zero in on any problem with the car.
