After using quick my Ford Explorer 2004 car won't start anti theft light blinking

I charged my car battery but after one hour I tried to start it. It wont start anti theft light blinking when I turn on the ignition.Lights, horn and key unlock/lock are all working. Tried several suggestions including turning key on off for 8 times, turning key on off to on position several times and changing issued keys but still not resetting anti theft system. Any other recommendation?

I have a solora and mine is doing the same thing. When I got it. It had macanic issues witch were regular resolved macanisums. Had to change battery had fixed an key ingition housing witch I had to program a new master key.of course I lost my chip to the last master key anti theft system when I tossed key. So. It leaves me to this disfuctional anti theft system that won't start my new master key I was trying to program witch won't do that do to the lost chip that controls alarm system. Witch leaves me to my last options and the last thing to do to get it starting is to put gas into it.

The battery reset protocol usually means the 8 turns routine using the original keys with key fob transponders
Turning the key and moving the shift from park to drive and back again has helped some people

SOURCE: 2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

Thank's for submit yous question on fixya.com

SOURCE: 1997 ES 300 How to reset anti-theft system when car won't start

With the doors shut, insert the key into the drivers door lock. Lock and unlock the door 5 times. This should reset the system. If that doesn't work you should contact a qualified repair shop.

SOURCE: Anti-theft system seems to have been activated?

Some months ago I began starting the engine of my 2001 Chrysler 300M but turned it of before it really started "was sloppy with the key". The anti-theft system went on for some unknown reason. I disarmed it by disconnecting one of the battery connections under the hood with a wrench. I connected it again, the anti-theft system was off but the battery was dead. Battery was OK after recharging, I have had no trouble since then.

I inherited a 2004 mercury marquis and after anti theft was triggered, car won't go over 40 and overdrive light blinks

If the vehicle starts an drives, even at 40 to 50 miles per hour the anti-theft system has nothing to do with this. The PATS anti-theft system on that vehicle disables the starter from working to deterrer vehicle theft, that's it.

overdrive light blinks ?? you have a transmission problem with the electronics .With over drive light blinking codes are stored in the computer . Need to hook up a professional grade scan tool an check for codes . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that knows what it's doing.

Car won't start anti-theft light is blinking

try reseting the computer by leaving the battery unhooked for about 30 min. if that doesnt work then it may be a clogged fuel filter or you could check the fuel shut off switch in the trunk behind the drivers trunk panel.

2004 mustang won't start because of anti theft system

Did you check the battery of the car (maybe loose cable)? but if it just happen suddenly, it might be your altenator that wasn't charging your battery. I think once there's enough power gone through the car then your anti-theft system should work as normal again.

2004 ford explorer will not turn over with key but remote starter switch makes it turn over

Its a good possibility that the Anti-theft is interferring with the circuit. If you have an extra ignition key, use that in case the password chip in your regular FOB has detriorated.

There is a brake sensor which is on the upper brake pedal. It interlocks with the starter to prevent starting without having your foot on the brake pedal. Check your brake lights for operation. If the brake lights stay dark with your foot on the pedal, the switch is broke or knocked out of position. A common problem.

Next, there are small wires for the starter solenoid. You can use a test light on one removed wire and ground the test light to the vehicle, the other end in the small wire. Turn the keyswitch to start, with brake pedal pressed and see if it lights up. If it does light up, the starter solenoid may be bad.

Battery level. Ford Anti-theft and some say Battery-saver, can cause both starting and charging problems. A fully charged battery can be at 13.2V- 13.6V. When Ford systems detect low voltage it can activate the Anti-theft, battery-saver, and even disconnect the charging system to allow the battery to completely drain. In some cases the Anti-theft drops starter voltage to around 7V so the starter will not spin. Have the battery tested.

I know of 2004 trucks that were jump started and showed charging, then after 5-10 minutes they lost the charging system. Some people lost the charging system at 70MPH and drove until they stalled. All because of the automatic features built into the trucks. A new battery fixed the problem. Your problem could stem from this.

06 trailblazer trouble with anti theft system, I think, starts right up then other times the anti theft light comes on and it won't start. can try it 2-4 hours later and it starts right up????

The first thing to do get it checked for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Not at auto zone or any other parts store , you want to have full scan of all the modules on the car. Don't know how much you know about automotive electronics , computer controlled systems etc.... Your vehicle has at least 10 modules (computers ) on board , there all talk to each other on a serial data network . C.A.N - controller area network . Or in the case of GM it has it's own . GMLAN -
How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN When you turn that ignition switch to start it is an input to the computer ,be it the PCM or BCM ..
