The first thing to find out is what trouble code the car's computer is storing. The check engine light tells you that there is a code available to enable you to home in on the trouble. If the car will not move, follow the procedure in here, p296, by using a short bit of wire to connect terminals TE1 and E1 in Relay Block 5 under the hood.
Check the fuel lines under the car. Don't actually start the car though, just turn the key until you hear the fuel pump turn on. This will load the fuel system and you will be able to see leaks (or sprays) under the car because of the pressure. If there are no leaks, see if the car runs perfect with a full tank of gas compared to a low tank. It should drive good turning left, but it might **** turning right or after a sudden stop. This could mean you have a crack in the seams of your gas tank or that your fuel pump is going bad (or a little of both).
You need to have your Honda checked for engine trouble codes. Most parts stores offer this as a free service. They connect a hand held 'scan' tool to your cars diagnostic port (usually under the dash) and scan for codes stored on the cars computer. They can tell you what codes they 'pull' from the computer, what they mean, and offer solutions to the problem. If after that you have further questions, post them here along with the code #'s. Good luck.
had a similar problem once,, was told it was the "mass" sensor. which mesurses oxygen flow. and adjusts as needed when i was checking under the hood found a broken vaccum line,,,,that was it..
