cud be so many things with used--likely the electrical--make sure batt is 12.6v always-any less and theres issues--check all fuses for life--inspect for bad wiring and corrosion--cud be a bad ignition switch or lock on steering colum----leave key in start for 10 or mor minutes then try it--its a way of reseting security-criminals usually wont wait that long--a module in the system cud also be at issue----get cat scanned with pro equipment to pinpoint
if everything is working and there is no engine lights on then it may just be the connection on the dash to the wiring or the rev counter has failed and just needs replacing, its usually the connections that go discoloured and loses connection and they just need a clean with some enrycloth. or switch cleaner.
you need a new fan switch for the engine fan.
with the engine off and the battery cables disconnected from the battery - replace the switch.
if the ( "sparks near the switch") is the fan switch check the wires when you replace the switch.
if these ("sparks near the switch ") are another switch check those wires for frays and tighten or repair.
You can try an internet search for the wiring diagram. No power to all the parking lights? Then probably the light switch. Make sure you have power to both sides of the fuse. If not the either wiring from the switch or the switch itself. Good luck.

You can get any wiring diagram for any vehicle. It will cost about $12 and it's well worth it. It will give you the complete diagram bumper to bumper.
i have a ford technicians disk but it has no wiring diagrams just block connections.this is done to stop general garages from knowing where to look ,but it doesnt stop me from trying??just the fact that iam red and green colour blind but evan then i use a meter to trace wires.slows me down but i still get their in the end.Its just the bill gates look alike nerds with their computer software thats hitting me big time.
