My cd player quits working randomly

I have a stock stereo in my yukon and the cd player will just stop randomly and sometimes when it stops it will eject the cd. When the cd player stops I can still use the radio. I have tried new and old cds, cleaned and uncleaned. I've even inserted a cleaning cd and still have the same problem.

SOURCE: 99 Yukon windshield wipers

We had the same problem and sometimes they wouldn't turn off. The intermittent wipers were random. We replaced the wiper motor. Be sure to get the motor with two balls on the wiper shaft (one for each wiper arm). If you can't find it, you'll have to change the part out on the new motor. Keep the wiper arms in the same location on removal, or it will jam and you'll have to start over.

SOURCE: Bose 6 cd changer factory installed will not function.

Some people with this issue have had some sucess disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the stereo. After re-connecting the battery, the stereo should reset and the error message should clear at which point the CD player should also function. Apart from this, a service call at a dealer or a car stereo repair specialist are the only alternatives. Best of luck.

Good evening, my cd player just stopped working in my expedition. It keeps saying cd error. Even when i try to eject the cd it says the same thing or when i swith cd's. Its a factory 6 cd changer...

I had this happen in my old dodge stratus. My trick to remove cd's was when you stopped or parked the car turn vehicle off and hit the eject button and it will usually eject the disc. remove all discs and then install them again when car is parked and not moving as vibration and bumps while driving can sometimes miss align the disc in the player. Sometimes when the stereo didn't work at all I disconnected the battery and it would reset and work. If this doesn't work it may be broken. Good Luck.

2003 ford expedition, eddie bauer, cd player has stopped working. I took the cd player out. Can I just replace the cd player instead of replacing the whole radio unit? I can't seem to find anywhere to...

Unfortunately not. The first thing I would try to do is get the cd player fixed by an audio store in your area. If it cannot be fixed, you will have to replace your radio unit. Let me throw this at you. I have invested in a whole new sound system in my vehical. I am not saying that all of your speakers need to be replaced, but an aftermarket stereo unit is more fuctional and stylish than than your stock stereo unit. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
