Hi saab victor sport 56 plate power cut the engine management light come on the board the car start back fine does it often when the car is cold or when i start the car in the morning after few minuties the power cut but the car start back fine any idea whats the problem thx

Before condemning your starter, use a volt meter and check to be sure that your battery has 12v (items you mentioned are "low draw" and do not require anywhere near the amps that a starter uses) Then check to make sure connections at the battery are clean and secure (on the contact surfaces where it matters) this applies to both ends of those cables, not just the battery end. Then, if necessary, check the small wire on the starter (trigger wire) to make sure there is 12v there when you turn the key to "start". If not, the problem is elsewhere, not the starter. If voltage is present, and all tests are good, then it's safe to replace the starter.
Takes longer to write this than it does to make tests!

Hi, You need to plug this into a code reader and see what codes are stored the most common reason for the engine cutting out is internal fuel pump failure will also cause poor starting
