I am looking for the fuel filter for my 2000 Hyundai Accent. Other posts mentioned the fuel filter was on top of the fuel tank behind the back seat. Do you have to drop the tank to get to the filter or is there an access door behind the back seat? Thanks for your help. Ron

I have a 2001: the fuel filter is underneath the rear seat on the driver side. Access is from the inside of the car. Release the latch holding the seat down and you'll see the access to the filter. I could not figure out how to remove the seat, however, so I had to prop it up while I changed the filter.

Remove rear seat, there is an acess panel, remove panel, filter is under that. Before removing filter, release fuel pressure by loosening gas cap.
