Try replacing the transmission filter and the trannie fluid. Mine would only go in reverse, and now it drives pretty well. This year has a screw on filter. Hope this helps

There is no full wiring diadram for this model. All the schematics are divided into the various electrical systems on the car. There are around 50 charts to make up the set. Perhaps if you let me know what system you are interested in, I may be able to help.

SOURCE: Subaru impreza 2002,will not start. The light for

the first thing to check is the battery, make sure its fully charged, then the next thing is the starter, this sounds like a bad starter or weak battery.turn on the headlights and have someone turn the key to start and see if lights go out or dim alot, is so then battery weak or bad connection at battery, but from what you say that theres no noise i would say a bad starter.
